8 years of Tubolito

 A thank you letter from the founders

Today, on August 20, 2024, we are celebrating Tubolito’s 8th birthday! The last 8 years could not have been more beautiful, instructive and exciting.

The idea for bicycle inner tubes made of TPU was born over an after-work beer and we immediately set about developing the first prototypes. With a little improvisation and self-built machines, we manufactured and tested them in the garage.

As technicians, achieving the highest possible quality was extremely important to us right from the very beginning. Only when our products met our standards did we take them to our trusted MTB store. Thanks, Martin from @mountainbikerat

The first positive feedback from riders in the field convinced us of the potential of our products and motivated us to continue our development work.

The first major highlight was GMBN’s visit to Eurobike 2017, at a time when we had no idea that just a few years later, athletes at the Olympic Games and the Tour de France would be relying on our Tubolitos.

Today, we are proud of the impressive range of products that we continue to develop and expand with our many years of experience in TPU bicycle tubes. With over 50 different Tubolitos currently in our portfolio, we proudly maintain our position as the world leader in TPU bicycle tubes.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you, the cycling community. Thank you for your trust in Tubolito, the constructive feedback, and the numerous suggestions. Without you, we would not be where we are today as pioneers of TPU bicycle tubes.

8 years later, and the journey has only just begun… stay tuned.
